MP REBECCA Pow has invited the CEO of a special school to a No 10 reception.
Ian Robinson, from Selworthy Special School, was nominated by Taunton Deane MP Rebecca Pow to attend a reception at Number 10 celebrating ‘Education Champions’.
The event, hosted by Damian Hinds MP, Minister of State for Schools, celebrated teachers who have made outstanding contributions to their schools.
Taunton Deane MP Rebecca Pow said: “It was a great honour to invite and welcome Ian Robinson, CEO of Selworthy Special School, to the Local Community Education Champions reception at No 10 Downing Street to thank Ian for his hard work and dedication to education and to celebrate the game-changing news that Selworthy will receive a full upgrade.
“I am so pleased to be working with the team on this locally and with the Department for Education in Westminster.”
Minister of State for Schools, Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP, said: “It was wonderful to meet so many brilliant teachers from across the country at Downing Street last week.
“Ian Robinson is a real champion in Taunton Deane, and it was a real pleasure to celebrate their vital work alongside Rebecca Pow MP.”
