A presenter from a Taunton radio station will cycle nearly 100km to raise money for a cancer charity.
Chris Wareing, from Apple FM's Friday Anthems, will jump on the exercise bike on April 17, clocking 97.3km from Musgrove Park Hospital's concourse.
The event, named Cycle Against Cancer, will be broadcast live.
Donations collected will directly support two local causes.
Firstly, a share will benefit Love Musgrove for The Beacon Centre to aid cancer treatment in Taunton Deane.
It's an issue dear to the Apple FM team, as a colleague, Heidi, battles breast cancer at Musgrove Park Hospital.
Crucially, public aid enables the hospital to maintain its high-calibre treatment for Heidi and others.
Funds will also be used to sustain 97.3 Apple FM, Taunton's cherished, longest-running community radio station.
With the support of donors and fellow broadcasters, Mr Wareing is optimistic to achieve, if not surpass, his 97.3km target.
The efforts resonate with the station's legacy, which traces back to 1969 as Taunton Hospital Radio Broadcasting Service.
Fifteen years ago, it won the Queen's Award for voluntary service, now considered the King's Award For Voluntary Service.
Today, listeners can tune-in to Apple FM anytime via 97.3FM, online platforms, or its dedicated app.
