FILMING equipment could be seen being loaded into trucks today (Thursday, March 21) as shooting for a BBC drama wrapped up in Wells.
Cast and crew members for the second series of Wolf Hall have been working in Wells over the past two weeks, with several shoots taking place inside Wells Cathedral, and even more in and around the Bishop's Palace.
Filming for the second instalment of the period drama is far from over however, and rumours have sparked about the cast heading down to Barrington Court in Ilminster - also a film location for the first season.
At the Bishop's Palace today, teams were working hard to pack up and remove any trace of the film set, taking away items such as large lamp stands, wooden frames, pieces of furniture, and tripods.

After Friday, March 22, the popular tourist attraction will go back to operating under its regular hours, after several full and partial closures to accommodate the filming.
The large gazebo tent previously set up on the fields near the palace has been taken down, along with all of the static caravans used for cast and crew temporary accomodation.
The second series of the period drama, rumoured to air in late 2024 or early 2025, will be titled Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light.
