This four-bedroom house in Drayton sold at auction for £461,000 this week – well above its freehold guide price of £380,000 plus.
The property in North Street went under the hammer with Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers on Wednesday, March 20.
Senior Auction Appraiser Audrey Smith said: “Orchard Rise sits on a superb plot with large mature gardens in a sought-after village.
“Bidders saw past some internal water damage and recognised the potential for this property, whether for owner-occupation, letting or refurbishment and resale.
“The new owner may also wish to extend the property, subject to all of the necessary consents.”
Orchard Rise was auctioned in arrangement with English Homes of Langport.
Meanwhile, a property in Williton with water damage sold at a freehold price of £176,000 plus.
The detached bungalow in Quantock Grove has three bedrooms, a detached garage and parking space, and has potential for development.
Clive Emson Auctioneers holds auctions eight times a year. The next – the third auction of 2024 - ends on Wednesday, May 1, with bidding opening 48 hours beforehand. The online catalogue will be available from April 12.
