A BUSY Taunton road will be closing for nearly two weeks in April.
Somerset Council has made an order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Bridgwater Road from the junction with Toneway to the junction with Yew Tree Lane.
The closure will be in place to allow Openreach to demolish a manhole and build a new box.
The works are expected to come into force from April 2 and will last until April 14.
The closure will be in force 24 hours a day, meaning that motorists will need to use an alternative route. Where possible, disruption will be kept to a minimum.
The order, which becomes effective on March 28 and will remain in force for 18 months, is being made under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
