EMERGENCY services raced to the scene of a vehicle fire in Ruishton last night (Sunday, March 24).

Fire control mobilised the Taunton crew at around 10.56pm following a report of the fire in the Haydon Lane area.

Using a hose reel jet and a 50ml jet, firefighters managed to extinguish the fire.

The vehicle was 100 per cent damaged.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. A spokesperson from the Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service said: "The vehicle was 100 per cent damaged by fire and believed to be deliberate ignition.

"Police were also in attendance at this incident.”
