SINGER and TV personality Peter Andre was in town with his family this morning to unveil a new aesthetics clinic and dental practice in Taunton.
Peter and his wife Emily, who is Taunton born-and-bred, cut the ribbon at Azthetics Dentaquest, located at Castle Lodge, in Castle Green.
The Grade II Listed building has undergone months of renovations to prepare it for its grand opening, and to make sure it's ready to offer a range of both cosmetics treatments and dental services.
Peter is a frequent visitor to Taunton, often visiting to see Emily's side of the family - mainly to sample her mother's top-notch cooking.
"I love it here - my last two children were born here," Peter said.
When visiting, Peter and Emily enjoy getting stuck into agricultural Somerset life, often taking the kids to friends' farms, and getting out for long countryside walks.
"It's a beautiful part of the country," Peter added.
"There's been every part of me that wants to get a place down here.
"I reckon I've been Tauntonised!"
For those who didn't already know, Peter had surgery at Musgrove Park Hospital in 2010, just prior to a planned gig at Butlin's in Minehead.
Peter's surgeon turned out to be Emily's father, which led to the pair meeting and eventually getting married in 2015.
Dr Tom MacDonagh, who has played a huge role in bringing the clinic to Taunton, is actually the brother of Peter's wife, Emily, who is also a doctor.
"These guys have been supportive since the beginning," said Dr Tom, who was also born and raised locally.
The clinic is run solely by medical professionals, and offers standard dental treatments such as check-ups and fillings, along with others such as whitening, cleaning, and Invisalign.
On the cosmetics side of things, the practice can cater for treatments such as fillers, laser treatment, and more.
"I see the hard work that they do," Emily added.
"It's a doctor-run clinic - it's fantastic.
"People deserve to get good-quality care."
Peter said: "When you know it's being run by doctors, that just makes it better."
Inside the town centre building which has become home to Azthetics Dentaquest, wooden floors, classy lighting, and artwork on the walls help to create a premium, luxury feel.
There are four treatment rooms inside, which follow the same aesthetic of clean and minimalistic luxury.
