A care home in Minehead has appointed a new home manager.
Louise Heppenstall, who brings over 15 years of managerial experience, will take charge of Minehead Nursing and Residential Home.
Initially, she started her career journey in supermarket chain, Tesco, and shifted her career course four years ago to become a carer at a residential home in South Molton.
Subsequently, Ms Heppenstall was appointed as assistant manager at the Minehead home two years ago due to her proficient management and caregiving skills.
As home manager, she will oversee more than 100 staff, providing inclusive high-quality care services such as residential, nursing, and specialist dementia care for adults.
On her new role as home manager, Louise Heppenstall said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to be Minehead Nursing and Residential Home’s new manager."
She expressed her eagerness to execute exciting plans for the home, aiming to increase interaction with the local community and improve residents' engagement through a range of activities.
Ms Heppenstall continued: "I have many exciting plans for the home including more regular forums for families of residents and employees".
Minehead Nursing and Residential Home is a modernised Georgian building surrounded by gardens with views over North Hill and the West Somerset coastline.
