Frome Road is set to close in order to conduct essential roadworks.
As per orders from Somerset Council, all traffic will be prohibited along Frome Road– a stretch 727 metres southeast from its junction with Mackley Lane, and extending south-eastwards for another 531 metres.
It is to allow Bristol Water to undertake vital supply separation works.
This was revealed in a public notice posted on the Public Notice Portal on April 18.
The road closure will start on April 23 and will conclude by April 25.
To minimise disruption, the construction will take place round the clock for a span of three days.
Details about alternative routes during the closure period can be found at: https://one.network/?tm=137270266.
For foresight beyond two weeks, users have to register with One.Network for free.
To reach Bristol Water for information about the works soon to be underway, individuals should call 0345 702 3797 and quote reference ttro040235E.
The order aims to ensure both public safety and road integrity.
