Holes Lane and Top Lane are set to close for National Grid to conduct essential roadworks.
As per orders from Somerset Council, traffic will be blocked off for a combined total of 259 metres of these roads.
Holes Lane will experience the majority of this closure, with 219 metres set to be restricted from its junction with Top Lane.
The remaining 40 metres of the closure will extend northwards along Top Lane from its meeting point with Holes Lane.
This was revealed in a public notice posted on the Public Notice Portal on April 18.
The main purpose of the closures is to allow National Grid to complete overhead reconductoring works, ensuring the continued efficient operation and safety of our electricity supply.
Works are expected to start and conclude on May 8, running from 8.30am until 5.30pm, totalling nine hours.

To speak to someone directly about the works, contact National Grid on 0176 140 5150 and quote reference number ttro261589E.
The Order is being enacted due to the planned roadworks and potential danger to both the public and the road if left unchecked.
