Riverain Lodge in Taunton is inviting locals to take part in a free art class to create their own landscape masterpieces.
The workshops are scheduled for Friday, April 26 and Friday, May 3 at 2pm.
It will be hosted by Churchill Retirement Living and located on the development’s communal patio at Tangier Way.
Painting materials, plus refreshments, will be provided to attendees who will also gain expert advice from local artist, Una Lee, on using acrylic paints to capture the scenic views from their location.
Churchill’s senior marketing executive Jo Ridehalgh says the initiative is at the heart of Riverain Lodge's ethos.
Ms Ridehalgh said: "We’re excited to welcome local artist Una Lee to host these free workshops at Riverain Lodge, and we’re looking forward to welcoming any budding local painters who would like to come and join us to learn some new skills.
"It’s a great example of the lifestyle on offer here, where our Owners can enjoy comfort, security, independence and fewer maintenance worries, plus the option to socialise as much or as little as they like.
"We’re also very lucky to have such lovely views across the river for our Owners to enjoy every day, so it will be great to capture these in our paintings!"
Interested parties can reserve a place in the limited spaces available by contacting Martin on 01823 475713 or through the official Churchill Retirement website via churchillretirement.co.uk.
Riverain Lodge offers one and two-bedroom retirement apartments aimed at over 60s.
