A Somerset caravan site has been ranked as the second-best in the UK to go on holiday to according to new research.
Bucklegrove Holiday Park in Cheddar, Somerset, was in second place on the list from Go Outdoors.
Creating a seed list of UK caravan sites, they ranked them through a number of factors including the average user rating out of five on Campsites.co.uk, pet friendliness, availability of a games room, availability of a swimming pool, proximity to a beach and much more.
Go Outdoors added: "A caravan holiday is the perfect setting for bonding with friends or family while enjoying scenic landscapes. From coastal routes to wilderness getaways, these holidays provide a unique experience with comfort and convenience."

One person wrote: "My family stayed at Bucklegrove for 1 week and we had an excellent time. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. My kids loved the scheduled activities. We stayed on Easter weekend and there was a hunt and kids activities all day which my kids loved."

Another shared: "We came here for a week as we are renovating our house and had a great time, the staff were really friendly, food was good and beer was cold, what more do you need!
"Added bonus, our dog got treats every time we went into the bar, so much so that when she was being walked yesterday morning, she didn't want to come back in the caravan and led my wife straight to the bar and sat at the door!"
