A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol after a van hit a garden wall in Frome.
Police said officers were called to the collision in West Woodlands, Frome, last Friday.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “At about 8.17am on Friday (April 26), we were called to attend West Woodlands, Frome, after a van was in collision with a wall, which was partly demolished as a result.
“The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and was taken to hospital for treatment.
“He has since been reported for an offence of failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
“Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing.”
