A team of volunteers from National Highways helped spruce up a community centre garden in Taunton.
Members of the Quality and Performance Team in the South West lent a helping hand to Priorswood Community Centre.
Their duties included a litter pick, cleaning of benches and signs, along with freshening up the flower beds.
Michelle Holt, the South West quality and performance assurance team leader, said: "We were happy to make our small contribution to tidy up this lovely garden which is a place of beauty, reflection, and calm for the local community.
"A highlight of the day was when some inquisitive school children were out exploring and came into the area we were working"
Volunteer gardener Pip Sheard added: "It was great to have help in the garden and very timely as they were able to plant pots of flowers".
Centre manager Lesley Councill noted: "I want to say a huge thank you the team who did an amazing job.
"I came in the next morning and walked around the garden to see the difference it's made, thank you it's really appreciated".
The community centre is open Monday to Friday, offering social, educational and fitness groups and support to all.
