THE Mayor of Taunton has taken part in a ceremony commemorating the 79th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day.
The event took place yesterday evening (Wednesday, May 8) in Vivary Park, where the Mayor, councillor Nick O’Donnell, placed a wreath on behalf of the residents of Taunton.
A Taunton Town Council spokesperson said: “The Mayor of Taunton was proud to place a wreath on behalf of the people of Taunton this evening in commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VEDay).
“To those who gave so much, we thank you.”
