PIZZAEXPRESS Taunton is ready to serve new and returning customers after recent refurbishment works.
Having first opened 27 years ago, PizzaExpress Taunton is located on Bridge Street a few doors down from the River Tone, with the pizzeria team excited to welcome back returning and new customers.
Remodelled as part of the brand’s nationwide refurbishment programme, customers of PizzaExpress Taunton will be greeted with a portrait of PizzaExpress founder Peter Boizot, as they enjoy a touch of theatre during their dining experience, with Pizzaiolos kneading and flaring dough right in front of their eyes before topping it off with their chosen fresh ingredients.
Kelly Baker, PizzaExpress Taunton general manager, who began her career at this very restaurant 20 years ago, and her 20 dedicated team members are excited to show off their remodelled pizzeria.
She said: “I am so proud to lead the team at PizzaExpress Taunton, from our trainer Vicky, who has been with us 20 years to our head pizzaiolo Ben, who has been with us 15 years, the entire team can’t wait to show off our new look.
“With our recently introduced Spring menu of new and returning favourites, we can’t wait to welcome back our customers to enjoy their favourite pizzas in our stylish new setting.”
As the days get longer and warmer, customers can indulge in one of PizzaExpress’ iconic pizzas in the restaurant’s courtyard, with the al fresco dining area the perfect destination for a refreshing spring cocktail, including the Raspberry Cosmo Spritz and Pimm’s Summer Cup, and a slice of pizza during the warmer months.
Customers will also find iconic flavours on the brand’s Spring menu, as the pizzeria brand has returned some of the nation’s favourite pizzas to the menu.
Some of the legendary pizzas returning include the Romana American Hottest, a slice of heritage with the Soho ’65, and a veggie inferno with the Vegan Mezze.
For those looking for a lighter take, customers can choose a Leggera pizza – under 600 calories - which are pizzas served on a Classic sized ring of dough with a hole in the middle filled with a fresh, dressed salad.
There are also salad options including the ever-popular Bosco or Niçoise (tuna) – on the menu since 1985.
Along with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options, kids can also enjoy the much-loved Piccolo menu, consisting of Dough Balls, pizza, pasta or salad, dessert and a Bambinoccino all for just £7.95.
