A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle collision involving a lorry and two cars on the A36 Beckington Bypass yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, May 15).
Police, the ambulance service and National Highways were called to the scene at 2.15pm, and closed the road.
The driver of one of the cars were taken to a minor injuries unit for treatment.
Speaking yesterday, a spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at 2.15pm this afternoon to a report of a three-vehicle collision involving a lorry and two cars on the A36 Beckington Bypass, near Beckington.
"Officers attended, alongside the ambulance service and National Highways, and closed the road. The driver of one of the cars was taken to a minor injuries unit for treatment.
"The road remains closed while the vehicles are recovered and a barrier is repaired."
