BBC newsreader Ros Atkins – best known for his ‘explainer-in-chief’ videos – will perform at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
Mr Atkins, who describes himself as an “occasional DJ” on his X account, will take to the Stonebridge stage on Saturday, June 29.
Stonebridge is part of The Park area at the Worthy Farm festival and is described as the “home of debauched beats”.
It will also be played by former Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, Blumitsu, Eats Everything and actor and performer Idris Elba this year.
Writing on X, Mr Atkins said: “It's frankly incomprehensible that I'm tweeting this - but here's the line-up for Stonebridge at Glastonbury and, to my great excitement and astonishment, I'm on it.
“What started with a one-off drum and bass set for BBC 6 Music two years ago has ended up here.
“Very grateful for the invitation. Work on the set has already begun...”
He added: “What an honour to be on a line-up like this. Still computing it to be honest.”
Can't quite believe I've been asked to play at this year's #Glastonbury. What an honour to be on a line-up like this. Still computing it to be honest. Hope to see some of you at Stonebridge... https://t.co/jZJDGRI3Xa

Mr Atkins started to DJ in the 1990s when, as a teenager living in Cornwall, he “started going to raves and listening to hardcore and drum & bass”.
Through his 20s, he DJed in London, Cornwall and Cambridge, and even played in the D&B room at a rave in South Africa while living there.
In 2006, the journalist was booked to play a festival in Regent's Park, just days before his eldest daughter was born.
“I had a lot less time and energy!,” he wrote.
“DJing didn't fit into life so well and I've not done a gig since.”
Two years ago, he was asked by BBC 6 Music if he would like to return to DJing after he discussed it in an interview with the Observer.
“Our girls are a lot older now and, of course, I said yes before anyone had a chance to rethink the offer,” he said.
That led to him putting together a mix inspired by pre-Covid nights spent at the Electric Brixton in London, which aired in January 2022.
