POTHOLES on a road in the Priorswood area of Taunton are being repaired with a “new technology” that will bring “a more suitable standard”.
The Somerset Council team has been working on Bossington Drive since yesterday (Wednesday, May 15) to repair the road surface.
Yesterday, Councillor Tom Deakin, leader of Taunton Town Council, said: “Like many of you, I have been very frustrated at the road surface on Bossington Drive.
“We have been working hard to resolve this with officers at Somerset Council and the good news is that it has been agreed to treat the surface using some new technology - the Roadmaster Spray Injection Patcher.
“I'm told that this will bring the section of road back to a more suitable standard and that the road remains on a priority waiting list for a full resurfacing.”
Today, the councillor added: “The team is making good progress today and may well be finished by the end of the day.
“There will be some loose stones for a short amount of time, but this will resolve itself.
“The surface is guaranteed for at least a year so should be more substantial than previous repairs.”
