A car and a lorry, believed to be a recycling truck, have collided on Hamilton Road in Taunton.
Police are on the scene with the last vehicle currently being recovered. No injuries have been reported.
Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement: "We were called at 7.02am to a report of a collision between a lorry and a car in Hamilton Road, Taunton.
"Officers attended and remain at the scene supporting the recovery of the vehicles. No injuries were reported."
Thomas Gamble posted to Taunton Matters: "Bad traffic on Hamilton road. Car gone into the back of a recycling truck and pretty bad by looks of it. Hope all involved is ok and not injured. Police controlling traffic"
Traffic on Hamilton Road should ease shortly, following the removal of the last vehicle.
