A FAMILY-RUN pub has been given a "well-needed facelift" by its new generation of owners.
The Globe Inn, in North Petherton, has been in the hands of the same family for over ten years.
Previously run by Jean Kirk, the pub was taken over by Jean's daughter, Marie, her husband Phil Winn and daughter Katie after the pandemic.
Now, after 20 years, they have given the pub a huge makeover in hopes to attract a wider range of customers in addition to their current base of loyal punters.
"The pub is a proper local's local, but previously been male dominated with all the working men, tradesman and skittlers, which is fab, but now we're hoping that the newly improved look will attract women, families and couples as well," a spokesperson said.
"We’re very pleased with the finished look, still keeping the character of the pub but bringing it up to date being fresh and clean, but still quite quirky!"
As well as the main bar, the inn boasts a generously sized function room, dart board, skittle alley, and stunning large beer garden, as well as a car park at the rear of the premises.
