TRAVELLERS have set up an “illegal encampment” in a Taunton park.
Taunton Town Council said they are aware of travellers occupying Priorswood Park.

The authority also said that all the relevant partners are currently dealing with the encampment.
A spokesperson for the council said: “We are aware of travellers currently occupying Priorswood Park and are working with all relevant partners to deal with the unauthorised illegal encampment as efficiently as possible.”
Today (Monday, May 20), a spokesperson for Taunton Town Council confirmed that third-party contractors are currently on site, on behalf of the council, working to move the encampment on.
