Berkley Street in Berkley, near Frome, will be temporarily closed.
The closure by the Somerset Council will take place on May 30, with Utility Services replacing a pole on behalf of Openreach.
These works are scheduled to take place from June 3 to 4, from 8am until 5pm.
The council, utilising powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, is prohibiting all traffic along Berkley Street.
Vehicles will be restricted from the junction with Church Road, moving south-westwards for a total distance of 281 metres.

The council's statement of reasons for making the order is due to the ongoing or proposed works in the vicinity of the road; or because of potential risks to public safety, or substantial harm to the road, which cannot be attributed to these works.
