AN "UNAUTHORISED encampment" set up in a Taunton park was moved on this morning, the town council confirmed.
Taunton Town Council received reports of travellers setting up an “illegal encampment” in Priorswood Park yesterday (Sunday, May 19).
Following the report of an unauthorised encampment in Priorswood park on Saturday morning, Taunton Town Council officers acted quickly, in line with our Unauthorised Encampments policy https://t.co/sVthfx3JoB.

A spokesperson said: “Following the report of an unauthorised encampment in Priorswood Park on Saturday morning (May 18), Taunton Town Council officers acted quickly, in line with our Unauthorised Encampments policy.
“As a result, we can confirm that the encampment was moved on this morning (Monday, May 20).”
