SOMERSET Armed Forces Day on Saturday, July 6 in Vivary Park is the biggest free event in the county, all made possible by the generosity and kindness of local companies as supporters.

Without their financial and material contributions the volunteers who run the SAFD event would not be able to fund the costs of such a large free family fun day.

Now in its fourth year, it’s the biggest it has ever been with over thirty-one thousand people visiting in 2023 during the day.

With such huge crowds come huge responsibility and the Committee recognise that they have a very large job to do.

So, with the help of local employer Biffa, who works alongside our local authorities, providing waste management throughout the park on the day, they can help to keep the park clean and tidy.

More local companies supporting the event by providing goods/services or making a donation are: Pearsalls (Corza Medical), Tek Military Seating, Crescent Funeral Services, SlashDotDash, Berry’s Coaches, Cullen’s Catering, The Corner House Hotel, Stems of Taunton, thebestof Taunton and Bridgwater, Bradfords Building Supplies, RSK Group, Wessex Water and Mainline Spirits, plus support from both local and unitary councils.
