THREE people have received treatment for minor injuries after a multi-vehicle collision that took place this morning (May 21) between Bridgwater and Taunton.
Police were called to reports of the collision on the southbound carriageway on the M5 at around 8.50am.
Emergency services were on the scene and the carriageway was closed.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said the road has re-opened.
The spokesperson also said: "We were called at around 8.50am today (Tuesday 21 May) to the M5 southbound carriageway between junction 24 (Bridgwater) and junction 25 (Taunton) following a report of a multi-vehicle collision.
"Three people received treatment for minor injuries.
"The southbound carriageway was closed while emergency services attended the scene, but the road has now been reopened."
