A SUPERMARKET could sell alcohol 24 hours a day, every day, from one of its Somerset branches.
Asda applied for a licence to sell alcohol 24/7 from its express store on Chamberlain Street in Wells.
A message on the Public Notice Portal said: “Notice is hereby given that on the 16th May 2024 Euro Garages Limited applied to Somerset Council (Mendip Area) for a Premises Licence in respect of premises Asda Express PFS Wells, Chamberlain Street, Wells, Somerset BA5 2PT.
The proposed licensable activities are: The supply of alcohol on Mondays to Sundays between the hours of 00:00 and 00:00; To permit late night refreshment on Mondays to Sundays between the hours of 11pm and 5am.”
