A restaurant in Yeovil has scooped a silver accolade at the Taste of the West Hospitality & Retail Awards.
The Apple Tree Restaurant, part of The Gardens Group, was recognised for high standards in local sourcing, food and service quality, and ambiance.
It dishes up homemade classics daily, drawing inspiration from the changing seasons in Somerset.
Ingredients often come from its The Apple Tree Farm Shop.
Judges noted the wide choice, specifically the Sunday Roast which features handmade Yorkshire puddings.
They also took to their friendly and informed service, earning praise for their "fabulous local ethos that shone through".
The Apple Tree's manager Kate Soan said: "We are so happy to have been awarded a Silver at this year’s Taste of the West, as we know the judges are very experienced and take a close look at all areas of our offering.
"It was especially pleasing to receive so many good comments around our local sourcing, as we’ve always taken such pride in working with the incredible food and drink producers that surround us.
"Awards like this are only earned through a unified team effort, so I’m delighted to be able to share this honour with everyone at The Apple Tree."
