UPDATE: The following statement was issued by Avon and Somerset Police at 7:03pm on Thursday, May 30.
A spokesperson said: “Emergency services are responding to a three-vehicle collision on the A361 Marston Road, near Frome.
“The A361 is shut between the Nunney Catch and Marston Road roundabouts.
“A collision, involving two cars and a lorry, was reported to police at about 3.10pm this afternoon (Thursday 30 May).
“The road is likely to be closed for some time so we'd please advise people seek an alternative route.”
A KEY Somerset A-Road is currently closed due to a collision.
Emergency services are currently on the scene of a crash on the A361 Marston Road, near Frome.
Commuters are advised to avoid the area, as the road is likely to remain closed for 'some time'.
Currently, it is shut in both directions between the Nunney Catch and Marston Road roundabouts.
According to Travel Somerset, traffic is queueing in both directions as a result of the closure.

The police along with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWAST) have been contacted for further information on the incident.
