If you are a Foodie, then you will have a blast at the upcoming Somerset Armed Forces Day held on Sat July 6 in Vivary Park, Taunton.
There are a myriad of vendors selling some very tasty treats for you to sample, from authentic Thai Style food to Cornish Pasties, as The Pasty Boys will be there.
The Dough Bros will be bringing their handmade doughnuts freshly made here in Taunton. I can vouch for those, the flavours are incredible!
Cullens Smokehouse BBQ will be there serving up the smokiest and juiciest barbecued meats with his new Smokehouse BBQ, and if you are looking for tasty food from further afield then The Gourmet Greek will be there too, with his traditional Greek and Athenian Street Food. If you think it’s just kebabs, you are in for a surprise with the range of foods they serve.
Mr Whippy will be there, so you can get an ice cream and Malton’s too, with the biggest milkshakes I’ve seen.
For those of you that are Gluten Free don’t despair, as The Gluten Free Picnic are coming, and they have an amazing selection of things for you to try. Churros and Crepes, as well as Waffles, you really are spoiled for choice for sweet things.
There is even a stand selling Gourmet Sausage rolls, if you have a small corner left unfilled!
I’m sure there are many others that I haven’t mentioned but if a good day out is fuelled by good food, then you are sure to be happy at Somerset Armed Forces Day.
There will be a huge range of stallholders there from clothes, handicrafts, microbreweries, small batch distilleries, cakes, biscuits and brownies and even a Meadery.
There are military displays, Blue Light area, models, games for the children, and games for the big kids too with Taunton Deane Shooting Association and BR Airsoft there.
There are over 18 vehicles to see from Land Rovers to Tanks, to Jeeps and Ammo Trucks, and if they are too big for your driveway pop along to Brick Tanks where they make Lego Compatible Military models. There will be plenty to see and do if you can fit it all in.
