The Castle Hotel in Taunton has been named the LuxLife Historic Hotel & Restaurant of The Year in South West England.
The hotel on Castle Green in the centre of Taunton has been family-owned for over 70 years and is certainly historic, with parts of the Grade II listed landmark dating back to the 13th century.
The Castle Hotel announced in a post: “We are thrilled to announce that we’ve been named as the LuxLife Historic Hotel & Restaurant of The Year 2024 – South West England!”
Guests staying at The Castle Hotel’s 44 bedrooms are treated to meals around the clock from its award-winning kitchen, with four dining venues to choose from.
Brazz, which the hotel claims is “Taunton’s most talked about restaurant” offers an “eclectic and chic” experience. The restaurant has a four-star review on Tripadvisor, with over 350 reviews.
The hotel is “a one-off, not a link in a chain” and previously achieved Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards’ commended status in the Small Hotel of the Year category.
