EXMOOR National Park in Somerset has been named among the UK's 'most Instagrammable'.
Research took into account Instagram posts taken at all 15 recognised UK national parks, to find the number of times each location has been tagged on the social media site in public posts.
The total number of hashtagged posts was calculated by combining the commonly used name and the full name for each national park. For example, #lakedistrict and #lakedistrictnationalpark.
The research found Exmoor to be the twelfth most tagged out of the 15 national parks in the UK, with 392,341 pictures posted to Instagram.
The Lake District ranked first on the list, with almost five million posts.
Axel Hernborg, founder of Tripplo, commented on the findings.
"As the temperatures rise and the days lengthen, many of us are keen to explore the UK countryside, especially since all the country's national parks are free to enter," he said.
"With the Lake District attracting more than 18 million visitors each year, it is no wonder it has also been found to be the most Instagrammable.
"With its picturesque villages, such as Grasmere and Keswick, plus the natural features, including Lake Windermere and Aira Force Waterfall, the Lake District is undeniably one of most scenic getaways in the UK.”
