Residents at a care home in Glastonbury enjoyed a sing-along concert to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
The garden at St Benedict’s Nursing Home echoed with wartime melodies performed by the D-Day Dollies.
Residents at the specialist dementia care home eagerly partook in the retro concert, singing along to tunes by Judy Garland, Dame Vera Lynn and the Andrews Sisters.
William Merivale, assistant operations manager for St Benedict’s, said: "Many of our residents are living with dementia, but they have no problem recalling the words to the songs of their youth.
"The visit by the D-Day Dollies was a huge hit and a lovely way to pay our respects in remembering the sacrifices made by those involved in the D-Day landings."
This concert forms part of a series of activities planned by the home to enrich residents' lives.
