A beloved Somerset attraction has announced its Charity of the Year for 2024.
Wookey Hole will donate every coin tossed into its wishing well next year to The Rendezvous, a charity supporting young people in South Somerset and North Dorset.
The Rendezvous has become a beacon of hope for individuals aged between 13-25 over the last three decades.
The charity offers invaluable assistance to more than 300 people yearly in the field of mental health, wellbeing and learning programmes.
This collaboration with Wookey Hole is the first considerable corporate sponsorship the charity has received under the guidance of new community fundraising manager, Fiona Franklin.
Ms Franklin said: "The work of the Rendezvous team fills a vital gap in services for young people in our area and genuinely helps change lives.
"The partnership with Wookey is perfect, taking people’s wishes and turning them into a promise to support and uplift our community's youth."
As part of the fundraising efforts, Wookey Hole and The Rendezvous also declared "A Day of Daring: Charity Wild Wookey Event".
10 lucky individuals will be randomly picked to take on the award-winning, Wild Wookey Adventure Caving Course on July 12 to raise money.
