A festival which celebrates the unique and diverse coastline of Somerset and Exmoor will return later this year.

The Somerset and Exmoor Coast Festival is more than a homage to the region's coast, with offerings that span art, music, performance, food, drinks, and hospitality.

Taking place between September 21 and 29, the festival covers a variety of events throughout the nine days.

The events will range from arts trails and Somerset Art Weeks events, to walks, tours and performances.

The festival begins with a 100km Ultra from Minehead to Brean and a Marathon from Bridgwater to Brean.

Both of these events are organised by Channel Events.

On September 21, Bridgwater will see day turn into night with activities organised by Fuse, including a free immersive, interactive fire and light trail with performers, installations, stalls and secret locations.

To close the nine-day festival on September 29, Porlock Information Centre has organised a shanty band performance.

Food and drinks will be available in Porlock, followed by a Fuse Nightwalk on Porlock Marsh.

This features outdoor arts, sound sculpture, performances, light sculptures, and poetry and spoken word.
