Police are appealing for anyone who saw a collision between a Land Rover and a Renault Clio on an A303 roundabout to come forward.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the Southfields roundabout, near Ilminster, just before 7pm on Sunday, June 16.
All three emergency services attended, with one woman airlifted to hospital and another woman taken by ambulance. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Dorset and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service used hydraulic-cutting equipment to release one of the casualties who was trapped.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We were called to attend a two-vehicle collision on the A303 at Southfields at just before 7pm on Sunday (June 16).
“The collision involved a Land Rover and trailer, and a Renault Clio.
“Two women were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time.
“Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to work at the scene. The road was fully re-opened at around midnight.
