A PANTOMIME group is launching an audition period for their 2025 Pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk as they approach the 50th anniversary of pantomime in the town.

The Wellington Pantomime Group said they are trying to “get some new faces involved” in the new year.

A spokesperson for the group said: “2025 marks the 50th anniversary of pantomime in Wellington and we would love to try and get some new faces involved.

“Wellington Pantomime Group is gearing up to cast their 2025 show Jack and the Beanstalk.

“Next year's performance will mark 50 years of pantomimes with Wellington Arts Association, so it is sure to be a special performance.

“Now it is your chance to be involved in this award-winning society and tread the boards of The Wellesley stage.

“Wellington Pantomime Group are holding a launch night on Friday 28th June, to talk all things Panto 2025.

“This is your chance to meet the creative team, hear more about the show and ask any questions you may have before deciding to take part.

“Workshops to learn audition material will be held on July 2 and 5 (material will be the same on both nights) with auditions to follow on the 16th July for Principals and 19th July for Dancers and Ensemble.

“All events listed above will take place at Wellington Arts Centre, TA21 8PS, will start at 7.30pm and finish at 10pm.
