NYNEHEAD Court's grounds will be open to the public this weekend as part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS) Open Gardens.

Nynehead Court is one of the longest-standing care homes in the UK and offers gracious retirement living in the beautiful village of Nynehead, near Wellington.

Renowned for beautiful summer blooms across its 14 acres, the event promises a tour by head gardener Justin Cole this Sunday, from 2pm to 4.30pm.

This will be followed by afternoon tea and cakes in the exquisite Orangery.

Tickets are £6.50 cash for adults while children enter for free.

Dogs on leads are also welcomed.

Home manager Joanne Fenn said: "Our NGS Open Gardens events are always popular, and we are delighted to welcome visitors back for our second event of 2024.

"The NGS Open Gardens is a wonderful initiative which raises money for many good causes."

Also serving as a home to 44 residents and 11 close care households, Nynehead Court offers a range of residential care for retired individuals in the comfort of an 18-acre parkland estate.
