Somerset Wildlife Trust will celebrate the relaunch of the Private & Community Nature Reserves (PCNR) Network this summer.

The network, aimed at those who manage their land primarily for nature, will officially reopen on July 6.

It aims to unite like-minded individuals for bolstering nature’s recovery in Somerset.

The PCNR Network enables land managers and owners to collaborate and share ideas for their land to serve as a crucial stepping stone for wildlife, benefiting nature, people, and climate.

Somerset Wildlife Trust is inviting pre-existing members and interested parties to the relaunch at Chancellor’s Farm, a permit-only reserve seldom open to the public.

The event will include networking sessions, discussions on nature-friendly land management, and guided walks.

Hannah Paddison, volunteering and community support officer at Somerset Wildlife Trust, said: "We're really excited to be hosting the relaunch of the PCNR Network!

"The group provides so many benefits for people who want to support nature on their land.

"The PCNR Network really has been a valuable resource for previous members.

"This relaunch event is the perfect opportunity to find out more about what the PCNR Network might be able to offer landowners that manage their land to deliver for nature at this critical time".
