A section of Frome's main thoroughfare will be closed on Sunday for Wessex Water to carry out work.
Somerset Council has given notice that a stretch of the Christchurch Street West, A362, will be closed on June 23 for eight hours, between 8am and 4pm.
The road closure will cover a 111-meter stretch, from the junction with Weymouth Road to the junction with Wine Street.
The order prohibiting all traffic should "enable Wessex Water to repair or replace covers and frames".
Work being carried out "on or near the road" and "because of the likelihood of danger to the public" were given as reasons for the road closure.
