LOWER Keyford in Frome will be closed for five days for urgent repairs.
Somerset Council is using its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to halt all traffic along Lower Keyford - from its junctions with Culverhill to Stevens Lane.
It covers a total distance of 170 metres.
This was revealed in a public notice posted on the Public Notice Portal on Thursday, June 20.
It will allow Wessex Water time to carry out critical sewer repairs.
The works will commence from July 8 and are expected to come to an end on 12 July.
People are advised to use the alternative route provided on https://one.network/?tm=138289282.
Those requiring to view a closure for more than two weeks in advance must register for free with One.Network.
It is also important to note that the works will be undertaken between 12.00am and 11.59pm over the five-day period.
