WIVELISCOMBE will launch its Restaurant Festival, Rest Fest, in just a few weeks.
Guests are invited to come and celebrate the best of Wiveliscombe's food and drink as the town's finest eateries join forces for a summer night of fabulous gastronomy, on Friday, August 2.
Hosted by MasterChef critic William Sitwell, there will be "a generous food safari across the town", allowing guests to eat an "incredible variety" of dishes and enjoy unlimited rosé, white, and red wine.
From sizzling prawns with sofrito at Zekki, to mini fish cakes at the White Hart, paella at The Bear, and pavlovas from Phoenix Kitchen it will surely be a delicious night.
William Sitwell, also a restaurant critic for The Telegraph, said: “Wiveliscombe has some seriously good places to eat and at our first ever REST FEST guests will have the opportunity to dine at them all in one night.
"Our inaugural event will include the celebrated Zekki, the establishment of Cypriot chef Tim Zekki, The White Hart, with its traditional British food, The Bear, a seriously proper British pub, Taste of India – the town’s much-loved curry house and the wonderful and diminutive wholefood, deli and takeaway that is Phoenix Kitchen.”
Attendees will meet at the Town Hall at 6pm for welcome drinks, snacks from Taste of India, and speeches before being escorted in groups to the town's dining venues.
They will get a chance to sample the sharing plates at Zekki, locally sourced food of the White Hart, paella and more at The Bear, and some delicious desserts of the Phoenix Kitchen.
Guests will be given a bespoke and keepsake glass for their rosé, white and red wine and will have the chance to sample the five new beers being brewed on the premises at The Bear.
Tickets, which are limited, include multiple courses, rosé, white and red wine and beer. They are just £80 per person.
