International Baccalaureate students at Taunton School celebrate after exceptional results, outstripping the global average.
On July 6, students received their International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results.
Taunton School counted 29 successful IBDP students this year, with a school average score of 33.2, against the global score of 30.2.
Top of the school was Julia Perwas, who scored a high 42 from a possible 45.
Julia's studies began at Taunton School International, following her move to the UK from Germany.
Darcy Becker and Noemie Pinneau trailed closely with 40 each, having their university offers confirmed at University College London and Bishop’s University in Canada respectively.
Adrian Roberts, the assistant head global and IBDP coordinator, said: "I am delighted at the results our IB students have achieved this year and that all their hard work has paid off.
"To have so many students achieve scores way above the global average is a real testament to the teaching at Taunton School and the level of commitment we instil in our students."
IBDP students at Taunton School have landed offers from top universities such as the London School of Economics, King’s College London, York, Warwick, Queen Mary’s London, along with international institutions such as Pepperdine in California and Northeastern University in Boston, USA.
