THE Regal Theatre in Minehead has opened a competition asking locals to "make a sea creature" to help decorate the stage for their production of Little Mermaid.
The Little Mermaid will be performed each evening at 7:30pm on Tuesday August 6 to Friday August 9, and Saturday August 10 at 2:30pm and 7:30pm.
Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for children, or £25 for a family ticket, two adults and two children.
Announcing the competition, The Regal said: “This year at The Regal we want to invite you to help us decorate the theatre, we would like you to make a sea creature.
“All entries will be displayed around the theatre and stage, but we will choose a winner!
“Tickets to the show and some sweets are up for grabs! Use whatever materials you like and drop your finished creations to Georgina Charnock, 15 Windsor Close, Minehead, TA245HH.”
Entrants are asked to put their name and contact number on their work and to submit it before the closing date, July 20.
The Regal Theatre's website states: "Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages.
"This summer, why not come and join us “under the sea” for a fun-packed, family production with a cast full of local talented performers."
The Regal now puts on over 150 events a year, including drama, concerts, ballet, opera, films, live screenings and comedy nights. Visit the Regal website regaltheatre.co.uk for all performance and event details.
