ONE driver has been left with 'life-changing injuries' after a crash between junctions 28 and 29 of the M5 on Friday (July 12).
The serious road traffic collision near Exeter happened at around 2.25pm, closing the northbound and southbound carriageways for several hours.
The collision involved a blue Vauxhall Astra, a black Skoda Octavia and a white Iveco Daily.
The occupants of the Skoda both sustained injuries.
The 33-year-old male driver was airlifted by Air Ambulance to Derriford Hospital with injuries thought to be life-changing. A 50-year-old male passenger was taken to Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Vauxhall was checked over by paramedics at the scene but didn’t require hospital treatment. Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
