A COLLISION has closed Taunton's Pen Elm Hill in both directions, with delays expected.
The accident took place between Monty's Lane and Norton Manor Camp on the A358, at around 1:30pm on Tuesday, July 16.
Travel Somerset said in a statement: "Taunton A358 Pen Elm Hill is closed both ways and there's slow traffic due to a collision between Monty's Lane and Norton Manor Camp."
Travel Somerset shared an update that the road had reopened at 3:30pm, posting: "Taunton A358 Pen Elm Hill traffic has returned to normal following an earlier collision."
Temporary traffic signals are in place on the A358 near Montys Lane due to water main work.
A statement from Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at 1.30pm today to reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a red Kia Sportage and a silver Skoda Fabia on the A358, near Norton Manor Camp.
"Officers attended, alongside the ambulance service, and closed the road to allow the vehicles to be recovered.
"One person was treated for injuries that are not life-changing or life-threatening."
