WE'RE looking back to when police discovered a cannabis farm at a castle near Taunton, in June 2021.
Woodlands Castle, which was owned by Sir Benjamin Slade at the time, had apparently been rented out earlier in the year before police unearthed a huge amount of cannabis plants on the site.
At the time, Avon and Somerset Police said a man had been charged with the production of a controlled B drug, following a discovery of cannabis plants on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
"Trung Nam Pham, 39, of no fixed address, appeared before Taunton Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 3 and was remanded in custody pending a crown court hearing," said a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police.

Two others were also arrested in connection with the incident.
Sir Benjamin Slade said that he was unaware of an illegal activity at the site.
ITV News reported that Mr Pham was a 'gardener', and was jailed for three years after £1.4million of cannabis was discovered growing in almost every room of the building.
In a hearing at Taunton Crown Court, Pham, 40, claimed he had been kidnapped by the Vietnamese mafia and forced to cook and clean at the castle.
