Visitors to Nynehead Court in Wellington were treated to a Teddy Bear's Picnic.
Families flocked to the retirement home's grounds accompanied by their favourite soft toys.
They took advantage of the dry weather, enjoyed a picnic, and took part in activities in the gardens.
It was not just local residents, but also Nynehead Court's retirees and staff who were on hand to take part.
There was also a surprise visit from the home’s resident bear.
The manager of Nynehead Court, Joanne Fenn, expressed her delight at the event’s success: "We hope everyone enjoyed our picnic this afternoon!
"It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying themselves.
"Our residents had great fun and will remember it for a long time."
