A Somerset-based mental health charity is launching mindful self-care boxes to help people reduce their stress.

Mind in Somerset offers 57 services across the county including a helpline and community events every week at the Yeovil Trinity Church centre.

The boxes can be purchased from numerous charity events or directly from the charity itself.

Local businesses have thrown their support behind the initiative, providing nine products for each box.

These include a stress-relieving ball, a 100g bag of cacao, tea bags, mood mist spray, a lavender pillow spray, and lavender wax melts.

Also included are a signed print by award-winning artist Garry Floyd, a bubble bath featuring geranium, lavender, and sweet orange, and a seeded card that can be sown for flowers.

Vicky Poole, fundraising manager at Mind in Somerset, said: "We're very happy to be launching our Mindful Moment Self-Care Boxes.

"We're also really grateful to many local businesses for their support."

Mind in Somerset runs a gardening group, art groups, young people groups, peer support and adult-one-to-one support.

It also provides training programmes in businesses to raise awareness of mental health issues.
