LINES between Taunton and Bristol via Weston-super-Mare have now re-opened following 'overrunning overnight engineering works.'
The line was closed following engineering works running over. A spokesman for GWR said: "Following an overrun of over night engineering works, we are pleased to report the line is now open, and trains can run through.
Arrangements were made for Great Western Railway rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys. between Bristol Temple Meads and Plymouth.
A spokesman for GWR said earlier this morning: "We were awaiting confirmation from Network Rail before lines can re-open. A rail replacement service is being sought. In the meantime CrossCountry are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice."
"Road transport has been requested to asssist customers at Taunton, however there is very little available at this time on a Sunday, so as things stand no alternatives are available.
"We therefore advise that waiting for the line to reopen will be the quickest option.
